As the calendar counts down to 2020, we're looking back at the best stories of the decade for the University of Calgary Dinos. Join us throughout December as we look back at the Top 10 stories of the 2010s!

In 2010, the best women's hockey player in the world came to campus and joined the Dinos women's hockey team.
The Dinos hosted the Hardy Cup all 10 years of the decade, winning seven. They finished first in Canada West eight times. They had a litany of individual accolades. And they capped it off with a Vanier Cup championship.
During the past decade, the Dinos had 15 athletes attend the Olympics while competing for the school, bringing home four Olympic medals, three of those gold.
The 2010s saw big firsts for several Dinos programs, including inaugural national titles in women's hockey, men's basketball, and cross country.
The costs of delivering a first-class university athletics program are not insignificant, and the Dinos rely on external funding sources to augment student and university dollars to provide an outstanding student-athlete experience.
Launched in 2012, the Crowchild Classic launched a fierce rivalry highlighted by the annual Saddledome doubleheader.
With Rhodes Scholar Bogdan Knezevic, four Top 8 Academic All-Canadian nods, and the launch of the Dinos GPS academic support program, the decade was the best-ever in the classroom for the UCalgary Dinos.
From a startup to a conference powerhouse in less than 10 years, Dinos women's rugby is now a destination for student-athletes across Western Canada.
Niko DiFonte's viral 59-yard field goal won the 81st Hardy Cup for the Dinos in November 2017.
The Dinos men's volleyball team came out of nowhere to capture the 2010 national championship.
