CALGARY - Heavy snow in northwest Calgary Saturday morning covered the University of Calgary's West Varsity Soccer Pitch in a white blanket, making for unplayable conditions and forcing the postponement of the Canada West soccer games scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
The Dinos women and men were set to play the Fraser Valley Cascades Saturday before the postponement. The games will be made up on Monday pending travel arrangements, with time and location to be announced.
Sunday's Canada West games between the Dinos and the Victoria Vikes will go ahead as scheduled, with the games moved to McMahon Stadium and the start times pushed back 30 minutes. The women's game will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the men's game following at 2:45 p.m.
Admission to Sunday's games at McMahon Stadium will be free.
